If you don't have an Opal card, you buy an one time use Opal single trip ticket. Opal single tickets are available for train, ferry and light rail.
OpalPay is a new way to pay for travel using your existing Opal card to pay your fare on participating privately-operated transport services.
If your payment card has the contactless payment symbol, you can pay for your trip on Sydney and Intercity trains, light rail or Sydney Ferries services.
